My dear Lori started making jewelry in 1990 when she became weary of paying so much money in the stores for cool styles. She is classically self-educated in the art of jewelry making through ferociously reading volumes of books on the subject and through the labor intensive method of trial and error. It is no stretch to say that my bride is literally inspired by everything around her…from the colors of flowers or the way a certain shirt neckline falls, to patterns in a fabric or wallpaper. But without a doubt her greatest source of inspiration is her Lord and His beautiful creation of clear blue skies and ocean waves, of mountain peaks and sunset beaches. In fact, when we are walking in a garden she will stop to study the intricate patterns and colors of flowers and plants so as to better understand the grand Designer behind them. She loves to combine different colors with different textures and shapes in her work based on the way it makes her feel or on the thoughts and images it represents to her sweet soul. She also loves to appreciate all the people whom God has placed in her path. Like a student in the art of individuality, she has trained herself to notice all the unique qualities of each woman’s personality so she can better suit each jewelry piece to their specific style. In fact, when trying to create a "piece of heart" to add to her collection, Lori’s sole intention is always to craft something that is so unique and so emotionally evocative that each woman who wears her jewelry would immediately catch Lori’s aesthetic vision and make it her own. How true it is when my lovely wife tells me "A little piece of me goes with each piece I make."
If you only knew my sweet Lori you would know that she is the epitome of authenticity, the very heartbeat of humility, a woman who loves her family and her Lord Jesus with a passion that is unequaled by any I know, but one who chooses to channel that great ardor into everything she does with a strength that can only be defined as Herculean grace. All that to say I am a man graced by her friendship and love for over a decade, and a man dedicated to extolling the excellencies of his wife in every opportunity granted!
